Awkwafina

Awkwafina, an American singer and actress started with funny raps, which dealt with the racial and sexual identities of people. Prior to her move to Hollywood she came out with a series of rap tracks. Nora Lum, born in Forest Hills Queens to Chinese and Korean immigrants, was her initial music experience. She performed on the trumpet. In the following years, she took up the classical and hip-hop genres. While in college, she remained focused on her studies and majored in both journalism and women's issues. While spending a few days of time in Beijing as well, she was also studying Mandarin. She didn't start focusing on music until after she graduated. After becoming famous through the Internet the song My Vag was a reaction to Mickey Avalon's My Dick. It eventually made its way onto her album debut Yellow Ranger. This album also featured hit songs with viral appeal, like the body positive Queef or her wink-inducing hometown tour the city of New York Bitche$. It was also included in Awkwafina's NYC tour guide that was released in 2015. In addition to being a writer and musician on her resume she determined to pursue a third endeavor actor. Alongside early TV shows such as Girl Code and Tawk she was also featured in movies like Neighbors 2, Storks as well as Bad Rap. She made her debut in 2018 with a few notable films like Dude Ocean's Eight and Crazy Rich Asians. Her EP came out, In Fina We Trust in June in the same year.
